The construction of the DPD Logistics Center in Pécs began in January 2023 with the goal of creating a modern, efficient facility that fully meets the region’s logistical needs. During the planning phase, special attention was paid to ensuring optimal operational processes and integrating modern technological solutions.
The construction progressed quickly and precisely, and just nine months after the start, on September 1, 2023, the center was officially handed over and began its operations. The new logistics center plays a significant role in increasing the package handling capacity of the region and contributes to the further development of DPD’s services.

Technical Fundamentals
During the interior design phase, special attention was given to ergonomics, efficient package flow, and the installation of automatable systems. The warehouse is equipped with multiple dock doors featuring hydraulic ramps, enabling continuous high-volume loading operations. The preparation of the automated conveyor belt system, along with the complete mechanical, IT, and security installations in the office and social areas, also ensures high quality and long-term reliability.
We are particularly proud that the building was designed with energy-conscious principles: a large-scale solar panel array was installed on the roof structure, generating tens of thousands of kWh of renewable energy annually. This solar power system not only covers a significant portion of the center’s energy needs but also contributes to sustainability goals and long-term operational cost reductions. Additionally, a modern heat pump heating system and fully LED-based lighting technology support energy-efficient operation.
